Vengar: He is a half-breed, human by his mother and orcish by his father. Specifically, he is the product of an orcan raiding party where his mother was brutally raped and left for dead by the raiders. He was there- fore raised by his mother and has incorporated her values. The town he is from is a very small one on the edge of known civilization, and she invoked the town's custom of victim's rights to prevent his early slaying at the hands of the townspeople (reasoning that an extra hand at harvest time would benefit the community, who gave their approval grudgingly and conditionally...that he pose no threat to the community and if he did...). Well, eventually, his mother could not keep the fact that he was different from everyone else from him for long. When Vengar (his name) learned of his origins, he was horrified, because his very existence clashed with the value system instilled by his mother. Since learning this, he has studied the art of war with the aim of the extermination of all of orcan-kind. His specialties include outdoor tracking, stealth, laying of traps....all the skills you would imagine that a good guerilla fighter would have. Also, he has studied the art of assassination, knowing full well that if you eliminate the leader of a rabble (as most orc parties are), the rabble is no longer effective in a military sense. So, in short, he is a (to use AD&D terms) Ranger-Assassin (no such class in AD&D), skilled in the arts of hunting, tracking, and a survivalist. His overall goal is the extermination of orcs, but there's no money in revenge, so he needs a living (here's where he enter's the Inn) and a little extra exper- ience never hurt. He tends to be a loner and does not give respect easily, but once given, he is fiercely loyal. He prefers to choose his fights, but when unleashed or cornerd, fights with intensity. He is suspicious of magic, but if it (or anything) aids his mission, so much the better.
