Here's the description of The Lightning Strike, Lance Trueblade's weapons shop: The building is actually a tall, thin house. On ground level lies the shop itself. Various arms lay on display in the two windows on each side of the front door, and over the latter hangs a large sing bearing the name of the shop in blue lettering. Inside, shelves adorn the walls, filled with swords, dirks, rapiers and the like. Some cases with a glass top lay about, displaying rare specimens of unique blacksmith art. The counter is at the far end of the shop, along with the stairway that leads up to Lance's home (nothing fancy, just a bedroom, a washroom, a study and a very small kitchen). Also, another staircase in the sho p leads down to a large room, where Lance usually practices swordfighting. He also sometimes invites prominent buyers in this gym so they can try out their purchases. But Lance knows his own little brand of magic. With the use of some magic devices bought (at a fair price) from a few mages, no item can leave his shop unless Lance permits it (like, for example, if it was bought). Lance keeps his two special longswords (titanium and silver alloy mixed with diamond dust) on display on the wall behind him. They are NOT for sale (they cost him nearly The Lightning Strike itself!). Lance keeps open his shop up to about midnight, and he opens it up at around seven the next morning. The shop can be often found closed, for Lance's uncanny ability to talk his way into trouble gives him many enemies. Nevertheless, he keeps a fair price on his merchandise, and can sometimes buy weapons from customers, if they're unusual. All in all, The Lightning Strike brings to adventurers curious, peculiar and sometimes outright bizarre weapons, at a good price. Lance gets his weapons from very different sources, and he has a contract with one of Monfort's smiths.
