*The Imperial Karrantine Army utilizes forced conscription, and only uses three enlisted ranks. Once basic military training is completed, the Conscriptus becomes a Soldierie, who makes up the majority of Imperial Karrantine Forces. Soldierie must give the Empire five years of service. If a Soldierie decides to re-enlist, he is automatically made a Soldierie Magni, which gives much better pay and allowances, and is the mark of the true veteran soldier. Though being a Soldierie Magni is a mark of distinction, there is *not* any real authority given with the rank (though most Soldierie give the Soldierie Magni great respect). The lower ranking officers of the Karrantine Army perform the duties which the elven nation assigns to non-commisioned officers (Corporal and above).
